I bought my first “real” camera just after I gave birth to my first child. Though, I had always loved old family photographs and been drawn to black and white images on my travels around the world – it was the experience of becoming a mother that helped me to identify two of my life’s passions – children and photography.
If you were to visit our home – you would be surrounded by family – past and present. Through the gift of photographs the memories of those times and loved ones who have gone before are kept – with us, they exist among us, they are part of who we are. They tell the story of our family. They invite those who see them to ask questions or maybe to invent a story of their own. They bring to life for our children the grandparents they will not know here on this earth and remind us that we are connected.
Photographs keep our blessings always in front of us – to remind us daily of the simple things for which we are so grateful.
Peace,
